09 January 2026

Open Your Eyes Week is a Cardiff Commitment city wide virtual event for Year 5 and 6 pupils (ages 9 - 11) across Cardiff. It supports pupils to develop ambitions and aspirations by igniting and inspiring interest in a wide range of occupations.

I’m pleased to share the Impact Report for Open Your Eyes Week November 2025. Acknowledgement must go to Christian Webber, Project Manager, Cardiff Commitment who has gone above and beyond to deliver OYEW (who only started in September!), providing partner support for the employers to make sure what they are delivering is meeting the needs of children and also capturing feedback/impact of the week from all stakeholders.

Open Your Eyes Week will return in June 2026, featuring even more engaging employer-led workshops from across the city. We look forward to building on the success of this year’s programme and creating even more opportunities for our pupils.
